The presidency consists of a President and a Vice President. One member of the presidency holds German citizenship, while the other holds French citizenship. The President and Vice President are elected by the General Assembly of Member Universities<\/a> upon the recommendation of the University Council<\/a>. The President is responsible for implementing the policies of the Franco-German University in accordance with the decisions of the University Council; he*she is supported by the Vice President. The President represents the Franco-German University externally.
\nThe presidency is supported by a secretariat based in Saarbr\u00fccken, whose Franco-German team is headed by a Secretary General.<\/p>\n
