IFIK-MDPS PhD-Track

The PhDTrack project Multimedia Distributed Pervasive Secure Systems (MDPS) comprises a German-French doctoral college into an integrated PhD-Track program by connecting a double Master program with the doctoral study. The proposed double Master program brings together two existing Master-level programs: the Diplôme d’ingénieur en informatique of the Département d’Informatique (IF) of the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Lyon (INSA de Lyon) and the Masterstudiengang Informatik (mit Schwerpunkt in Informations- und Kommunikationssysteme) of the Universität Passau (UP).
The specialized courses taken by the students at Passau during the last semesters of the Master correspond closely to the domains of the MDPS research program. Likewise, the ability to design a Master thesis subject compatible with a future PhD thesis subject will strongly facilitate the success of the PhD thesis.
